howdy! you were right, i felt much better after i wrote the email, i had one of the girls (Emanuella) re-braid my hair! it made me feel much better! she is going to do something else to it tomorrow, she's 14 and has english of a 2nd grader so it's been a lot of fun.:) Sherri (the misssionary that lives here) has asked some of us to work with Emanuella, Mark, and Exolina seperately with their english. they just came here last year and so they are far behind the other children with their english-but they do fine with french and creole. TRY LEARNING 3 LANGUAGES!!! lol plus i add in some spanish and the kids love it!! hahah yesterday i was in the classroom all morning (school only goes till 12) and was teaching simple math (multiplication) to 2nd (i think) grade! i taught them the 9's trick and "anything times 10 add a 0 to the end!"
yesterday everyone was crazy busy working on the fixing of the septic tank (not i!) i worked with emanuella for about an hour on english... try teaching the TH sound and an R to someone who has never made those noises!! ahah it's like them trying to teach us pw...sounds funny! anyway, our electricity is out and i'm working on battery and im the first one so i really gotta get going. glad to hear you got another fox! what about that woodchuck?!! :) i miss you and love you but i am also having tons of fun with the kids. yesterday it rained (down poured) during the day, which is ab-normal, so i was dancing and playing in the rain with the kids, we sat under the lean-to and they started singing songs!! toooo cute :)
today i taught a little, worked with emanuella and then taught the boys how to play wiffle ball in about a 10ft wide space, you REALLY need to see the pictures! :) they had so much fun.
it made me miss my girls though, glad they got the games cancelled so i didnt miss it but kinda a bummer they didnt get to play. BRRR that's cold!!
i feel like im rambling, please save these emails because i haven't had much time to journal so this is kinda it!
